Flame Guard Liquid is a revolutionaly fire retardant additive that mixes with most acrylic latex coatings to create a flame retardant paint film on  substrates.    Flame Guard Liquid is designed to slow the flame spread on a treated surface when added to the coating. Apply two coats with brush roller or sprayer.  Let dry between coats.

TESTING INFORMATION:  Flame Guard Liquid has been tested in accordance with ASTM E-84 Standard Method of Testing for Surface Burning Characteristic of Building Materials and Canada's  ULC S102 to test materials that will be installed on walls and ceilings.

Test Results: ASTM E84: Southern yellow pine and cement gypsum: Flame Spread = 0 Smoke = 85 over cement gypsum; Flame = 85 Smoke = 175 over southern yellow pine.  Flame Guard Liquid meets the Both UL 723 and UBC 42-1.

CANADIAN TESTING:   ULC S102:  Zero Flame Spread =  0 and  Smoke = 0.

Tested on:  ToughRock 5/8-in 4-ft x 8-ft Fireguard Regular Drywall Panel

The CAN/ULC S102 is used to test materials that will be installed on walls and ceilings.

Mix one 8 oz. bottle of Flame Guard Liquid per gallon of paint.

Flame Guard Liquid can also be used with cellulotsic and synthetic textile fibers.

Because it is impossible to test Flame Guard Liquid on every substate or in every coating, it is recommended that the end user test before using and for suitability of proposed use.

Compatibility of Flame Guard Liquid with most SBR, PVA, vinyl-acrylic, and acrylic lattices is excellent. Before use, compatibility should be verified. Flame Guard Liquid can be used as a paint additive.
