Flame Guard is an easy to mix granular formula that is designed to slow the flame spread on the treated interior surface when added to a flat latex coating. Apply two coats with brush roller or sprayer. Allow to dry between coats. Two packets must be added to achieve the Class A rating.
NOTE: Flame Guard can only be mixed with a flat latex coating and is for interior use only.
TESTING INFORMATION: Flame Guard has been tested in accordance with ASTM E-84 Standard Method of Testing for Surface Burning Characteristic of Building Materials. Flame Guard has been tested on pine and fir. It meets the Both UL 723, NFPA 255 and UBC 42-1: Class A.
Mix two packets of Flame Guard to achieve a Class A. One packet for Class B.
Always test compatibility before use.

Flame Guard Liquid has been tested on cement gypsum/non-flammable substrate. It meets the Both UL 723, NFPA 255 and UBC 42-1: Class A and Class C rating over plywood.
Flame Guard Fire Retardant Additive -BUNDLE
Flame Guard is for interior use only and designed to slow the spread of the coating it has been mixed with.
CLASS A: Add TWO packets of Flame Guard per gallon for a Class A fire rating.
CLASS B: Add ONE packet of Flame Guard per gallon for a Class B fire rating.
NOTE: To achieve the A or B rating you must apply two coats. Coverage is 250-300 sq. ft. Mix thoroughly, then brush, roll or spray. Always test compatibility before using. Flame Guard Liquid has not been tested for use over spray foam and is for interior use only.
